not your average nail color

These days, nail polish has become a bit more exciting.  The rules are gradually going out the window.  Long gone is the era of pale pink in the summer and spring, reds in the fall and dark burgundy in the winter.  Graphics and designs on your nails are now not just for the little girls who buy the cheap sick-ons from the drug store.  Neon nails, striped patterns, electric blues and vibrant greens have jumped onto the scene.  I've seen neon pink in the winter (what?!), deep dark purples in the summer (really?), and short black nails on women who are very far from being goth (no!).  So now what is the latest craze that's sweeping the nation?  Well, I'm not really sure what to call it.  One might say sea foam green, another might say pale turquoise.  I've seen it all over my favorite fashion blogs and on the lovely and talented style icon, Alexa Chung, and it is safe to say, I've found true love.  When you first put this color on, it's so out of the ordinary it is mildly frightening.  But when you slip on your black, dark brown, metallic, tan, whatever color peep toe heels or sandals, your toe nails pop out in the most delightful way.  This surprising ice blue-green (the color of oxidized copper, perhaps?) looks oh-so modern and makes everyone glance twice at your gorgeous feet in an attempt to identify that mesmerizing color.
