back again

One of my all time favorite runway shows was Balenciaga Fall RTW 2007.  The patters, the colors, the styling, the make up... all completely perfect.  Flash forward to Valentino Spring 2010 Couture.  See any similarities?  They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but who pulled off the extreme eye make up better?

A New Trend?

I can see these gaining popularity rapidly.  These jeans seen on Willa are one part equestrian, one part grunge and one part rocker are 3 parts perfect in my opinion.  I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Pile Them On

Something about layers and layers of bangles and bracelets looks effortlessly boho chic.  The mixture of different metals, materials and stones adds creative dimension full of color and texture.  Layers of bracelets (and copious rings) can bring flair to a plain outfit or compliment an outfit that has a lot going on already.  I don't know if it is just me, but whenever I think of layers bracelets and many big, bold rings I picture the Olsen twins who have perfected the art of layering jewelry.  You would think that the look would seem excessive and heavy, but there is a visible ease to the look.  Almost as if you're just too lazy to take any piece off and the just keep accumulating.  So scrounge around the vintage stores for some cute and cheap bracelets, or make a new hobby of collecting more expensive pieces.  No matter how you pair them, they always seem to go together.
